Experience the difference

Occupational Medicine Physicians is proud to offer the Southern Indiana community over a century of occupational health experience with nearly two centuries of overall medical experience.  Below we'd like to introduce you to our medical providers whose goal is to help you be a successful as possible in managing your employees.

Dennis McClain, M.D., ABEM, ABIME, MROCC
Medical Director

Dr. Dennis McClain has been providing occupational and emergency services to Southern Indiana for over 25 years.  A graduate of the University of Louisville, he is a member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.  He was the first Certified Medical Review Officer in Southern Indiana and is currently boarded by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners.   

He presently serves on the Board of One Southern Indiana and CardioCare.  In his spare time he enjoys golf, piano, and anything on the water, especially fishing.   Dr. McClain is married to Joyce and they have 4 children.[top]

Barbara Elliott, MSN, ARNP
Nurse Practitioner

An Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, Barb brings a broad range of expertise to Occupational Medicine Physicians.  She has over twenty years of experience in Emergency and Occupational Medicine, is Board Certified by ANCC and AANP, is certified in Spirometry, Hearing Conservation, and Breath Alcohol Testing.

Barb is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitoners, Sigma Theta Tau and the Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners / Nurse Midwives.  She has been a recipient of the Coleman Award for a project exploring the impact of case management on the level of satisfaction and return-to-work time of injured workers.

Barb has a husband, Jim, and two sons, Thomas and Scott and 4 dogs.   [top]

 

Joyce McClain, MSN, ARNP
Nurse Practitioner

An Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, Joyce completed her undergraduate work at the University of Louisville, where she also earned her Masters degree in Community Development and Health Promotion.  She holds a degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Spalding University, is Board Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, is licensed as an RN in Kentucky and Indiana and as a Nurse Practitioner in Indiana.  She is a co-founder with her husband, Dennis, of Camp BraveHearts and is President of CardioCare, Inc.

A lifelong Louisville resident, she is married to Dr. Dennis McClain.  The couple have four children, are foster parents and members of Southeast Christian Church.   [top]

 

Lori Green, MSN, ARNP
Nurse Practitioner

Lori has many years of emergency, occupational medicine and family practice experience. She graduated from Indiana University Southeast in 1984 with a Bachelor's in Science in Nursing. Her Master's in Science in Nursing was completed at Spalding University in 1998. Lori is a member of Grace Lutheran Church in New Albany and enjoys gardening, remodeling, and running. She and her husband, Doug live in Edwardsville, IN. Together they have three children, Nick, Ross, and Whitney.  [top]

 

Tony Jackson
Drug Screen Coordinator

Tony Jackson has been a Drug Screen Coordinator for 7 years, and employed with OMP for 2.  Here at OMP, Tony is your primary point of contact for all drug screens and is the one who communicates with the companies concerning employees' results.  He can also coordinate random draws and on-site drug screen collection. 

Tony grew up in the Washington, DC area. and was in the Air Force for 13 years until he moved to this area in 1995.  He took courses at the University of Maryland and received a degree (2 year) from the Community College of the Air Force in administration.  He attended a MRO Assistant course recently and since then has attended ongoing updates in DOT training.
 
Tony is married with 3 children, 1 boy and 2 girls. He and his wife, Mona have no grand children yet.  The other "child" is their blond Labrador retriever named Tyson.   [top]
 
 

 

 

Lisa Deaton, BSN
Special Services Coordinator

Lisa has 6 years of nursing experience in family practice. She holds a Bachelors degree from University of Evansville, and has recently entered the occupational health discipline. Contact Lisa to schedule Independent Medical Exams (IME) and Impairment Ratings. If you are a Case Manager or Adjuster with a Worker's Comp carrier, Lisa can help you with your needs.    [top]

 

 

Amy McCulloch, RN, BSN, COHN-S
Client Service
Coordinator

As Client Service Coordinator, Amy McCulloch consults with client companies and works to maintain strong relationships with each through excellent service.  A graduate of Indiana University Southeast and a Certified Occupational Health Nurse Specialist, licensed in Indiana and Kentucky.  She has experience as a plant nurse and has been working with Dr. McClain since 2003.  In addition, she has a great deal of experience with workers compensation case management, FMLA, short-term disability, and DOT regulations.
