Over 30 years ago a team started an occupational medicine practice in Southern Indiana under the OMP name. It grew to three clinics.
OMP joined Norton Healthcare in 2014; Norton discontinued occupational medicine services in June 2025, and OMP was re-established as an independent practice in Jeffersonville.
Today OMP provides occupational medicine, employer services, and weight loss to hundreds of people each month. Our team has many years of occupational medicine experience, and we hold ourselves to quality care, clear and timely communication, short wait times, and flexibility.
Our staff understands everything from drug screens to OSHA recordables. Whether it is a pre-placement exam, a fitness-for-duty exam, or injury treatment, the work is done carefully and communicated clearly.
Our providers understand how much return to work matters and follow the guidelines of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) and ODG.
We refer only when necessary and know how to recognize maximum medical improvement. Dr. McClain provides Independent Medical Exams and Permanent Partial Impairment ratings.
We serve employers in the clinic and onsite: vaccinations, mandatory OSHA surveillance, and general health evaluations.
OMP is owned by Joshua T. Honaker, MD, MBA, FAAP, a board-certified pediatrician, and Micah Aders, an airline captain who brings the aviation industry's focus on safety, communication, and efficiency. Decisions are made here, not by a hospital system.
