How long it takes and what happens
Time: A pre-placement physical usually takes 30 minutes or less. An extended exam with several tests can take up to an hour in total.
A pre-placement physical is the exam your employer's job requires. An extended exam adds the tests your employer ordered, such as labs, an audiogram, or spirometry, in the same visit. X-rays are done at an outside imaging center that OMP refers you to.
